Are you looking for a rewarding career with great pay and benefits? Trucking could be an excellent option for you. Professional drivers can earn more than $69,000 a year* and a shortage of qualified truckers means that many companies compete to give the best pay and benefits. Our team of instructors can help you learn the skills you need to succeed as a trucker and we can get you on the road and earning in as little as four weeks.

* Professional truck drivers earn a mean annual wage of $47,130. The top 10% of truck drivers make more than $69,000 per year according to the 2020 Bureau of Labor Statistics. www.bls.gov/oes/current/oes533032.htm

Available Program

  • Class A CDL Training
    Transportation & Mechanics

Classes at Phoenix Truck Driving School include a combination of classroom learning and hands-on instruction. Our goal is to help you prepare for and pass your CDL test, as well as giving you valuable skills that you can continue to use throughout your career as a trucker.

The first part of your training will consist of preparation for the written CDL test. This exam covers information about how to safely operate a semi-truck. Our program will prepare you to take the general knowledge exam as well as endorsement tests for hazardous materials (hazmat), tanker, and doubles/triples. Our highly-skilled instructors will help ensure you are fully prepared for the exam and that you are confident in your understanding of the material. By passing this test, you will earn your commercial learner’s permit (CLP) and will transition into hands-on range training. After passing the written exam, our program will transition into helping you practice for the CDL skills test. Our instructors will supervise driving time and you will learn in a real semi-truck, not simulator. In addition to learning driving skills, you will be taught how to perform a pre-trip inspection.

    Employment Assistance

Our job placement and career planning program is first-class and we will help you achieve your goal of becoming a professional truck driver. We will help start the job application process while you are in truck driving school so you can hit the road shortly after graduation. We offer job placement to all students and graduates.

    Financial Assistance

Obtaining your commercial driver’s license is an investment in your future. However, not everyone can afford to pay for the cost of truck driving school. Financial assistance may be available for those who qualify.
