  • Pharmacy Technician
    Medicine and Health Care

    The Pharmacy Technician program is structured to provide a comprehensive blend of theoretical knowledge and hands-on training in essential pharmacy operations. It comprises six course levels encompassing 540 hours of classroom theory and laboratory sessions, along with a 240-hour externship, totaling 780 hours.

    The curriculum is meticulously crafted to meet certification eligibility criteria upon program completion. Students can begin at Level I and progress through Level VI, culminating in eligibility for externship placement. Successful fulfillment of all graduation criteria earns graduates a certificate.

    Pharmacy technicians are important members of the pharmacy team who work under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. Their primary responsibilities typically include the following:

    • Prescription Management
    • Medication Dispensing
    • Customer Service
    • Administrative Duties
    • Support for Pharmacists

CNEI Accreditations & Approvals

  • CNEI is accredited by the Council on Occupational Education council.org. The Council is listed as a nationally recognized accrediting agency by the United States Department of Education and is recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation.
  • In June 2012, CNEI received approval from the VA to train eligible veterans. VA.GOV
  • CNEI is licensed to operate in the State of California by the Department of Consumer Affairs BPPE.CA.GOV
  • CNEI is approved by the California Foundation for the Advancement of Addiction Professionals (CFAAP) CFAAP.ORG.
  • CNEI is approved by the State of California Department of Health Services Laboratory Field Services.
  • CNEI is approved by the California Board of Vocational Nursing and Psychiatric Technicians.
  • CNEI is approved by the State of California Department of Health Services, Licensing and Certification for Nurse Assistant and Home Health Aide Certification.
  • CNEI is authorized by the State of California Department of Public Health to provide Continuing Education Training for CNA.
