Paralegal Studies - Associate of Science
Legal, Law Enforcement, and Emergency ServicesOffered through the Savannah campus, the partially online Associate of Science in Paralegal Studies program’s courses cover torts and remedies, legal research and writing, ethics, civil litigation, estate planning, legal software, and business, family, and criminal law. In the Paralegal Studies associate’s degree capstone course, you’ll have the opportunity to gain valuable experience in a legal setting such as a law firm, real estate company, bank, or federal government agency. In this setting, you’ll work under the supervision of a licensed attorney to perform tasks like preparing legal documents or interviewing clients and witnesses in preparation for real cases. All students in the partially online Paralegal Studies degree program must complete at least four legal specialty courses comprising at least sixteen (16) quarter hours of credit in a traditional classroom format.

Medical Assisting - Associate of Science
Medicine and Health CareMedical assistants are multi-skilled allied health professionals who perform a wide range of roles in physicians’ offices, clinics, and other healthcare settings. They are proficient in a multitude of clinical and administrative tasks and are widely viewed by doctors as vital members of the healthcare delivery team. The Associate of Science in Medical Assisting program is devoted to a competency-based education with emphasis on the students’ mastery of clinical and administrative competencies. These competencies are validated through performance on tests, terminal performance objectives, and a clinical externship. Their training culminates in a required 200-hour, unpaid, supervised practicum at a local medical practice during their last quarter of study.

Physical Therapist Assistant - Associate of Applied Science
Medicine and Health CareThe Associate of Applied Science in Physical Therapist Assistant program offers a curriculum that is well-rounded in all fundamental concepts and theories as they apply to physical therapy modalities and rehabilitation procedures.
This course allows for the integration of clinical experiences with didactic materials and the opportunity to correct deficiencies identified in the assessment of the student's performance in the clinic. The clinical experiences are chosen from a variety of settings, which may include hospitals, nursing homes, sub-acute facilities, and outpatient centers with which the program has entered into clinical agreements.
