  • Aviation Electronics Technology
    Transportation & Mechanics

Spartan College's Aviation Electronics Technology (AET) program is designed to teach students entry-level technical skills in electronics that are applicable in aviation and other industries.

Aviation Electronics Technology, also known as Avionics, is a specific electronics field that deals with aircraft electronic equipment. Avionics incorporates equipment, including radios, navigation equipment, autopilot, cables, entertainment systems, and more. It is vital that these systems be in optimal working order and not interfere with one another for the aircraft's safety.

AET students study FAA regulations and learn the proper use of basic tools and test equipment. Students also study electronic theory and high-reliability soldering and wiring. They also receive hands-on training in installing, troubleshooting, and repairing electronic and avionics systems.

Spartan College's AET program offers a combination of classroom theory and hands-on lab training.
