CBT Technology Institute operates three campuses conveniently located in the Greater Miami Area (Cutler Bay, Hialeah, and Miami) that are nationally accredited by A.C.I.C.S., certified by the U.S. Department of Education and licensed by the Commission of Independent Education.

  • Air Conditioning, Refrigeration and Heating Technology - Associate

    Our HVAC school’s 2-year program in A/C Refrigeration Technology will provide you with the skills and experience necessary to gain mid-level employment as an HVAC technician. Our high-quality classroom instruction and hands-on training – available in both English and Spanish – will prepare you to work in a variety of settings – indoor, outdoor, residential, and commercial.

    We also work with you in each area of refrigeration and air conditioning technology, from reading blueprints and installation to maintenance and repair of both heating and cooling systems. Your training in CBT Technology Institute’s HVAC school ensures that you will have the confidence you need to find the HVAC position that best suits your skills.

    People in the United States, and especially here in South Florida, rely on their cooling and heating systems to get them through their daily tasks, and they rely on HVAC technicians to ensure, not only that those systems are working properly, but that they are as green and efficient as possible. This reliance creates an array of job opportunities for anyone interested in A/C Refrigeration.

    Our HVAC school’s 2-year program will teach you the basics of how to install, repair, and maintain a variety of equipment in various settings, and you will also complete several courses dedicated to teaching you the concepts of green technologies, sustainable HVAC practices, and alternative energy. Our hands-on training will give you the chance to discover which area may best suit your abilities.

  • Electrical Technology - Associate
    Building Systems, Construction, and Manufacturing

    CBT Technology Institute's Associate Degree in Electrical Technology is designed to prepare our students with the hands-on training to become a knowledge and competent technician by developing the necessary abilities to succeed in this important technological field.

    The A.S. in Electrical Technology program is available at the Flagler and Hialeah campuses in Miami, Florida. This degree program typically takes students 24 months (20 months) to complete, and it is available in both English and Spanish. The academic curriculum that you study in the A.S. in Electrical Technology degree program at CBT Technology Institute covers the use of the National Electrical Code. The classroom instruction and hands-on training that you receive while enrolled in this degree program will help you:

    • Understand of job site safety.
    • Install, maintain and repair electrical projects in residential, commercial and industrial facilities applying correctly the electrical codes.
    • Install Green technologies (PV systems).
    • Acquaint with control circuits using PLC and electric motor controls. And more
    • The courses that you take in the A.S. in Electrical Technology program at CBT Technology Institute, such as Fundamentals of Electricity, Blue Print, will help create a solid, practical and theoretical foundation pertaining to the more advanced courses, including commercial, industrial, and residential wiring , programmable logic controllers and photovoltaic systems.

  • Medical Coding & Billing - Diploma
    Healthcare Administration

    Jump start your career with an 8-month diploma in Medical Coding and Billing at CBT Technology Institute and move one step closer to working in the healthcare industry.

    The Medical Coding and Billing (MCB) program is designed to prepare graduates who are able to review, analyze, abstract and apply and use standardized medical coding systems to health data for such purposes as: billing of third party payers (government agencies and insurance companies) for reimbursement of healthcare services rendered, facilitate statistical classification for researchers, examine utilization patterns for administrators, to name a few.

    You will receive hands-on training as you learn the ins and outs of medical code sets and billing procedures. Upon completion of your diploma, you will be prepared to take the Coding and Billing Entry Level Certification (CBCS) conducted by NHA/ATI, as well as a Certified Professional Coder (CPC) Exam conducted by AAPC and the Certified Coding Associate (CCA) conducted by AHIMA. Medical Coding and Billing professionals can find stable employment with government agencies, physician offices, residential care facilities, hospitals, and other medical facilities, and students can also choose to continue with the coursework toward an associate degree in Health Information Management Technology.
