ACI recently relocated to a state-of-the-art facility at 215 Broad Street in Eatontown, NJ, giving students access to modern equipment and training environments.

Medical Assistant - Certificate
Healthcare & MedicalACI Medical & Dental School's Medical Assistant Certification program prepares students for an entry-level role in one of healthcare's most versatile and in-demand fields. The program covers both the clinical and administrative skills needed to support physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals across a variety of medical settings - from doctor's offices and clinics to hospitals and outpatient facilities.
The program is available in both day and evening formats. The daytime schedule runs Monday through Thursday from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm and Friday from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm, completing in 14 weeks plus a 180-hour internship. The evening schedule meets Monday through Thursday from 5:30 pm to 9:30 pm and spans 35 weeks plus the internship.
Students who complete the program are credentialed through the National Healthcareer Association (NHA) and prepared to work in a wide range of healthcare environments. In addition to the core Medical Assistant curriculum, the program includes training for three secondary certifications: EKG Technician, Phlebotomy Technician, and Patient Care Technician.
Day program students complete a 180-hour on-site internship as part of their training, gaining hands-on experience in a real medical office setting before entering the workforce.
Common responsibilities of a Medical Assistant include:
- Assisting with physical exams and minor procedures
- Recording and maintaining patient vital signs and health records
- Performing EKGs and phlebotomy procedures
- Collecting and preparing laboratory specimens
- Sterilizing instruments and sanitizing examination rooms
- Managing front office duties including scheduling, billing, and coding
- Applying medical law and ethics standards including HIPAA compliance
Graduates are prepared to pursue a range of roles including Certified Medical Assistant, Registered Phlebotomist, EKG Technician, Patient Care Technician, Medical Office Assistant, and more.

Dental Assistant
Healthcare & MedicalACI Medical & Dental School's Dental Assistant Training program prepares students for a hands-on career supporting dentists and dental teams in a variety of clinical and administrative capacities. The program includes a Dental Radiology license, giving graduates a key credential needed to perform one of the most common responsibilities in any dental office - administering and processing x-rays.
The program is available in both day and evening formats. The daytime schedule runs Monday through Thursday from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm and Friday from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm, completing in 14 weeks plus a 180-hour internship. The evening schedule meets Monday through Thursday from 5:30 pm to 9:30 pm and spans 35 weeks plus the internship.
Students who complete the program receive certification in radiation health and safety through the Dental Assistant National Board (DANB) and a Dental Radiology license through the New Jersey Environmental Protection Agency. Training takes place in an on-site laboratory equipped with state-of-the-art dental equipment.
Day program students complete a 180-hour internship in a working dental office as part of their training, building real-world experience alongside licensed professionals before entering the workforce.
Common responsibilities of a Dental Assistant include:
- Assisting dentists during intra-oral procedures
- Exposing and processing dental x-rays
- Sterilizing instruments and managing tray set-ups
- Communicating with and supporting patients throughout their visit
- Updating and maintaining patient electronic health records
- Managing front office duties and dental practice operations
- Applying dental terminology, anatomy, and infection control protocols
Graduates are prepared to pursue roles including General Dental Assistant, Pediatric Dental Assistant, Surgical Dental Assistant, Dental Radiology Technician, and Oral Surgery Assistant, with pathways to advance into roles such as office manager, dental hygienist, or dental sales representative.
