    Healthcare Administration

    Medical billing and coding specialists are the healthcare professionals responsible for processing patient data like treatment records and insurance information. They also help to ensure that healthcare providers are accurately and efficiently paid for the services they perform. Medical billing and coding specialists can work in any healthcare environment (hospitals, outpatient clinics, doctor’s offices, and more).

    Arizona College's Medical Billing and Coding program prepares you for a career in under 7.5 months. In less than one year, you could enter the medical field as a professional. Our comprehensive program combines classroom teaching with hands-on experience to fully prepare you for a successful career as a medical billing and coding specialist. Every student also completes a 5-week externship where they work in real-world healthcare environments.

  • Dental Assistant - Diploma
    Medicine and Health Care

    Dental assistants aid the dentist in the examination and treatment of patients. Their duties include taking and developing x-rays, assisting in the operatory (four-handed dentistry), construction and preparation of temporary crowns and bridges. The dental assistant is also involved in the efficient operation of the dental practice. Insurance, patient relations, billing and the greeting of patients are some of the duties performed by the dental assistant.

    In less than 10 months, students can complete the dental assistant program at Arizona College and begin a professional healthcare career. Every part of our dental curriculum is designed to give you the specific skills and hands-on experience needed to succeed as a dental assistant. Our students also complete an 8-week clinical externship where they will work in a real dental practice.

  • Medical Assistant w/ Phlebotomy - Diploma
    Medicine and Health Care

    Medical assistants aid physicians in the examination and treatment of patients, in addition to performing various administrative duties. Their responsibilities may include: checking vital signs, drawing blood, obtaining medical histories, preparing patients for examination, performing basic laboratory tests, applying bandages, and sterilizing instruments. Office duties may include answering the telephone, recording and filing patient data, completing insurance forms, handling correspondence and arranging outside services.

Our program is built to give you the skills and hands-on experience you need to succeed as a medical assistant. In addition to classroom training, every student completes a 6 week externship where they work in a real-world healthcare environment.

  • Pharmacy Technician - Diploma
    Medicine and Health Care

    Pharmacy technicians play a vital role in the success of any pharmacy. They’re responsible for supporting pharmacists in filling prescriptions, as well as helping with patient communication / education. Not only is the demand for pharmacy technicians growing, but it is also a rewarding career path that allows you to work in the medical & pharmaceutical field.

    Arizona College’s Pharmacy Technician program can be completed in less than 9 months. We combine classroom teaching with hands-on training to give you the skills needed to succeed as a pharmacy technician. All students get the opportunity to complete a 4-week externship in a real-world pharmacy setting.
