    Prior to range training, students must obtain their Class A CDL Permit! To obtain your Class A permit you must be 21 years of age, have a valid medical certificate and be able to pass written knowledge tests at the MVD. (Permit study resources available) 3-4 days of permit test prep available.

    Range training is 10 days of skills training completed at the Tucson or Phoenix terminal. Upon completion of training, students will be tested by a certified 3rd party tester. Once students have passed the CDL test they are scheduled for orientation with Eagle.

    Upon completion of orientation students will be assigned a mentor to begin their OTR training. Once assigned to their mentor’s truck, students will receive a $650 bonus. Student driver should anticipate being out with a mentor for approximately 3-5 weeks. Student pay is $650 a week and begins the day the student is assigned to the trainer truck. Students are paid every Friday and direct deposit is available.

    While in training, students are on their trainer’s schedules and should expect to be gone a minimum of 2-3 weeks at a time. Once training is completed and students promote to a qualified driver, they are able to set their own schedule. The minimum time out we can accommodate at this time has our drivers OTR for 10 days at a time.

    Qualified driver pay starts at $.43 a mile, are reviewed for an increase to $.45 after 6 months, and $.47 at 9 months! Solo drivers with Eagle average 2500 miles a week.

    Drivers from Tucson and Phoenix AZ have to option to be home every weekend!
