    Program Objectives

    Keiser University offers both an Associate and Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration that is designed to develop students’ abilities to understand business concepts, terms and theories, as well as to think critically and communicate effectively.

    The associate degree program provides basic business administration skills. Students use computers, computer skills and software applications necessary to prosper in a business environment. Courses provide an understanding of business administration methods, management skills and business knowledge.

  • Associate of Arts in Health Services Administration
    Healthcare Administration

    Keiser University’s Associate of Arts degree in Health Services Administration provides instruction in basic health services administration skills. Students use laptop computers to learn computer skills and software applications necessary to prosper in a healthcare business environment. The program prepares students in both business and health service administration, providing courses on business law, management and marketing principles, medical anatomy, physiology and terminology and front office management.

    An Associate of Arts degree in Paralegal Studies from Keiser University will prepare you for a fast-paced, exciting career. As a Keiser University student, you will learn the skills necessary to become a paralegal in a variety of settings.

    Program Objectives

    Keiser University's industry-experienced faculty will teach you the fundamentals required of a successful paralegal, such as legal research, document and motion drafting, case management and evidence gathering. As a paralegal, you will help attorneys prepare for trials and other dispute resolution processes; you will also assist with the drafting of legal documents, such as wills, contracts, and other corporate forms.

    Upon completion of the Associate degree, you may further your studies with Keiser University's Bachelor of Arts degree program in Legal Studies.

    Keiser University’s Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice provides preparation in many areas of the criminal justice system. Topics include crimes, laws, investigation, arrest, prosecution, punishment, return to society.

    Graduates of the B.A. in Criminal Justice degree program will develop an understanding of the history of the criminal justice system, including its evolution and impact on society. In this program, you will develop your ability to understand the tools and procedures used by criminal justice professionals and your ability to think critically and communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. This degree program will facilitate the development of your proficiency in researching, collecting and organizing complex data, solving problems and working collaboratively.

    Keiser University’s Associate of Arts degree in Criminal Justice presents the major components of the American criminal justice system. It includes criminal behavior patterns, law enforcement organizations, juvenile systems, legal principles and doctrines and fundamentals of criminal investigations. Courses utilize hands-on activities and analytical exercises.

    Graduates of the A.A. in Criminal Justice degree program will develop an understanding of the American criminal justice system and will be presented with an in-depth review of institutions, laws, theories and the players that make up the system.

  • Associate of Science in Fire Science
    Legal, Law Enforcement, and Emergency Services

    Keiser University’s Associate of Science degree in Fire Science provides instruction in fire prevention methods, fire detection systems, fire codes, fire investigation rescue, safety and salvage procedures, hazardous materials, pump operations, fire behavior, plans reading and extinguishment. This program assists in qualifying firefighters for management positions with the Fire Service.

    The following objectives are designed to meet Keiser University’s mission and its objectives:

    • To provide students with an understanding of crisis management, fire suppression and extinguishment methods.
    • To prepare students to conduct a proper fire scene investigation.
    • To prepare students for employment with the Fire Service, including management positions.

  • Associate of Science in Medical Assisting Science
    Medicine and Health Care

    Program Objectives

    Our students train under the supervision of a physician or licensed practitioner, learning to take vital signs, assist in minor surgeries, administer electrocardiograms, take x-rays and perform other diverse skills. You will also learn to handle administrative duties including scheduling appointments, billing, maintaining patient records, processing insurance claims and even ordering medical supplies.

    Graduates of the program are eligible to take the Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) exam given by the American Medical Technologists (AMT).

    Online Flexibility

    Students can pursue this degree at several campus locations – including Keiser University’s 100% Online campus. This option gives students the flexibility, convenience and interactive support they need to earn their degree and pursue a career in medical assisting.

    Keiser University's online and hybrid RN to BSN degree program is designed for registered nurses and can be completed in as few as 12 months!* This program is designed for registered nurses seeking broader professional responsibilities and career opportunities. Keiser's student-centered approach, flexible scheduling, and online convenience helps you earn your bachelor's degree and balance the demands of attending class with work, family, and other responsibilities.

    Keiser University offers the following benefits for RNs:

    • Flexibility and Convenience. Earn your RN-BSN degree completely online or choose our hybrid option, which combines the convenience of online learning with face-to-face classroom instruction available at select campus locations.
    • 12 Month Program. Complete your RN to BSN online in as few as 12 months!*
    • Credit for prior nursing education. Licensed RNs may transfer up to 60 eligible pre-requisite credits including 30 eligible nursing credits from a regionally or nationally accredited college or university. Graduates of Board of Nursing approved professional diploma programs may transfer up to 30 eligible nursing credits.

    All transfer credit is subject to approval by the Dean of Academic Affairs; please contact the campus for additional information on the transfer credit policy.

    • Placement Assistance. Our Department of Student Services will support you in your job search and help you achieve your career goals with services including counseling, assisting you with resume preparation, building a cover letter, and developing your interviewing skills.
