Culinary Arts & Restaurant Management
Culinary Arts, Food Service, and NutritionA Culinary Arts/Restaurant Management program is offered at The Pennsylvania School of Culinary Arts, a Division of YTI Career Institute – Lancaster. During this 21-month program, students learn how to prepare stocks, cuts of meat, poultry and seafood, assorted pastry products, world cuisines, how to utilize different cooking methods and how to work at various positions within a restaurant kitchen.

Criminal Justice and First Response
Legal, Law Enforcement, and Emergency ServicesYTI offers an Associate in Specialized Business Degree in Criminal Justice & First Response at our Altoona, Capital Region, and Lancaster campuses. During this 21-month program, students learn how to investigate a traffic accident, process a crime scene, perform aggression management techniques, evaluate a casualty, conduct a traffic stop, work a domestic violence scene, work with juveniles concerning probation and parole, maintain the security of a correctional facility, collect and analyze evidence, write detailed reports and testify in court, monitor public and private places manually and with the aid of electronic equipment, and how to ensure the safety of individuals, businesses and their interests.

Medical Billing & Coding
Medical AdministrationYTI offers a Medical Billing & Coding program at our Altoona campus. During this 12-month program, students learn to create medical records, schedule patients, arrange surgery and diagnostic tests, verify insurance information, manage insurance claims, communicate in medical terminology, code in CPT, ICD-9-CM and HCPCS formats, health care ethics, and human disease processes.

Dental Assisting
Medicine and Health CareYTI offers a Dental Assisting program at our York, Lancaster, and Altoona campuses. During this 9-month program, students learn anatomy and physiology of the head and neck, take and develop manual x-rays, take digital x-rays, assist the dentist with dental procedures, manage the front of a dental office, provide patient education, mix dental materials and manage inventory and ordering of supplies.

Medical Assistant
Medicine and Health CareYTI offers a Medical Assistant program at our York, Lancaster, and Altoona campuses. During this 21-month program, students learn to chart a patient’s medical history, obtain vital signs, prepare patients for examinations, assist a physician during examinations, collect laboratory specimens, perform basic laboratory tests, record electrocardiograms and lab tests, remove sutures and change dressings, process insurance forms and schedule appointments.
