  • Medical Assistant
    Medicine and Health Care

    Southern Careers Institute is the place for you to receive training that leads to a medical assistant certification and, ultimately, a career in the medical field. If you have a passion for helping others and want a career in medicine, this is the program for you! As a medical assistant, you'll assist doctors, work with nurses, and care for patients.

    At Southern Careers Institute, you'll be welcomed into the SCI family by knowledgeable instructors, supportive staff, and students just like you. You will learn by doing with hands-on, interactive training that will prepare you for a career as a medical assistant.

  • Nurse Aide
    Medicine and Health Care

    The Nurse Aide program with SCI will introduce you to the skills needed to provide quality care for patients as well as hands-on clinical experience.

    You’ll learn alongside students just like you, learning skills that you can use in the real world.

    • Build up the knowledge and experience to qualify for Certified Nurse Aide and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation certifications
    • Develop the critical skills necessary to provide clinical care
    • Work toward a career with clinical experience, restorative services, and nursing and personal care skills

  • Commercial Motor Vehicle Training
    Truck Driving, Transportation, and Mechanics

    Prepare for your CDL Class A in as little as 4 weeks! Hands-on, over-the-road driving training prepares you to hit the road in a standard sleeper cab tractor with a 53’ trailer.

    As a truck driver, you’ll make your own schedule—selecting your interstate and intrastate driving jobs.

    Graduate our comprehensive CDL training program with the necessary skills to begin driving a truck professionally. Expert truck driving school instructors at our San Antonio North and Austin campuses provide both the hands-on training and the classroom preparation needed to properly and safely operate a truck and obtain your Class A CDL license.
