Electrical Lineworker
Building & ConstructionThe Electrical Lineworker Program is a 15-week, 500-hour pre-apprentice training course made up of 320 field training hours and 180 classroom hours. During the first five weeks, students learn to safely climb and maneuver on wooden poles - skills that directly translate to the day-to-day role of an electrical lineman. From there, students are taught to safely build and maintain all aspects of power line construction, with electrical fundamentals covered in a controlled classroom environment.
Training is completed in a 21-person Pole Circle designed to replicate real crew life, with a strong emphasis on teamwork, accountability, and trust. Over 60% of program time is spent outside learning by doing, and students also have the opportunity to earn their CDL on campus through an integrated training and testing program.
