Our hybrid experience features a mix of structured, remote, online education combined with hands-on lab practice and features flexibility to balance personal and professional obligations. You’ll receive hands-on learning in real-world classrooms and online learning led by instructors with years of experience in their fields.

  • Certificate - Medical Billing and Coding
    Healthcare Administration

    The Medical Coding and Billing professional is responsible for providing complete and accurate information and records for the patient and the insurance companies. Medical and insurance offices depend on Medical Coding Specialists for the accurate transcription of diseases, injuries and procedures into numeric codes.

    The Medical Coder analyzes health records and completes insurance forms by assigning codes that determine medical billing and insurance payment.

    While in school, your education will include courses in computer basics, billing procedures, advanced medical terminology as well as medical coding and medical law and ethics for coding and billing. You will graduate prepared to work in a fast-paced environment. This is a blended program with courses conducted both online and on-campus.

    Healthcare Administration

    Health care administrative assistants are key members of the front-office medical office staff. You will greet patients, manage electronic health records and ensure the office operates efficiently while also fostering a friendly and positive patient experience. These entry-level professionals in the field of health care administration do not interface directly with patient care, rather they greet patients, triage appointments and provide other assistance.

    Through our courses, you will gain hands-on experience and upon graduation be prepared to:

    • work within electronic health records with current software technologies

    Medicine and Health Care

    Pharmacy technicians assist pharmacists in preparing and providing medications to people. They also assist in providing other healthcare products and perform various other duties that a pharmacist may need help with. The pharmacy technician’s skills and responsibilities enable them to improve patient experiences and ensure optimal efficiency in a pharmacy setting.

    Pharmacy technicians are the liaisons between medical professionals, doctors, pharmacists, insurance companies and patients. They’re crucial in pharmacy settings because they have the knowledge needed to work with patients regarding their medications while also performing administrative tasks when needed. Their job involves:

    • Mixing intravenous solutions
    • Counting tablets and labeling bottles
    • Receiving electronic prescriptions from medical offices
    • Handling computer order entry of prescriptions
    • Receiving written prescriptions and requests for patient refills
