Available Programs

  • Electrical/Electronics
    Building & Construction

Lincoln Tech’s Electrician and Electronics training programs are designed to meet society’s continuous demands in business and residential settings. High and low-voltage electrical systems are essential to everyday life, and opportunities for qualified electricians continue to grow as emerging energy technologies develop.

Three different program options, based on campus location, give you the chance to prepare for installation and service of residential, commercial, and industrial systems. Electricians and electronics systems technicians are needed at private homes, construction sites, large corporations, schools, hospitals, airports … just about everywhere!

  • Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC)
    Building & Construction

With rapid ecological changes in the environment comes a need for more industry experts to keep up with today’s colder and warmer climates. And ever since the first Lincoln Technical Institute campus opened in Newark, NJ in 1946, we've been providing HVAC training (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) to thousands of students throughout the United States.

Lincoln's HVAC program introduces students to Green Technology - green alternatives to comfort heating and cooling systems, as well as Solar Thermal and Geothermal Green Technologies. As the first school in the country that incorporates Energy Auditing courses from the Green Mechanical Council, you’ll be learning advancements in technology that enhance your Heating and Air Conditioning training, skills and marketability to employers.

Additionally, there are currently only 114 Certified Master HVAC Educators around the country, and 26 of them teach at Lincoln schools. This credential identifies an educator’s professional competency and attests to their commitment to continued professional development.

Some HVAC program and class highlights include:

    • Convenient day and evening classes are available.
    • Air conditioning, refrigeration, and heating technology programs at Lincoln include energy auditing – establishing the source of energy loss and providing solutions for correcting these problems.
    • HVAC classes feature hands-on exercises that take place in a “Green House”, an outdoor mini-house where students physically work on HVAC components.
    • Use modern technology in our HVAC schools, such as thermal-imaging cameras to check for energy efficiency.
    • Classrooms are set up with labs and lectures equipped with walk-in freezers, household furnaces, central air systems and facilities to simulate duct work.
    • Learn how to troubleshoot using SimuTech software, which features computer-based simulation “bugs” and problems you might encounter on the job.
    • Receive a tool kit that contains HVAC-specific tools to help with studies.

Upon completion of Lincoln’s Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning program, graduates can pursue several other certifications, including Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) certification testing to leverage opportunities working as independent contractors in one or more specific areas of the HVAC market.

  • Medical Assistant
    Healthcare & Medical

Medical Assistants play a crucial role in helping doctors treat patients. Training in Lincoln Tech’s Medical Assistant programs helps you build hands-on skills through experience that also prepares you to sit for the Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) exam offered by the American Medical Technologists (AMT).

Class schedules make it convenient to plan for a new career while keeping the commitments you already have. That type of convenience is just one of the many reasons training at Lincoln Tech for a Medical Assisting career makes sense:

    • Our schools are equipped with medical labs featuring EKG machines, injection simulators, auto claves, lung function tests and more.
    • You’ll learn how to take vital signs, read and update charts, apply surgical dressings and practice phlebotomy tasks like specimen collection and lab testing.
    • Test the skills you gain in class on simulation manikins that you'll "treat” for ailments.
    • Doctor’s Office Classrooms (DOCs) fully simulate a professional healthcare office, from Reception to exam rooms.
    • You’ll receive hands-on instruction in digital technology including hardware, software and word processing.
    • Take advantage of a Blended Learning curriculum that allows you to complete some of your coursework at home and optimize your time on campus!

  • Dental Assistant
    Healthcare & Medical

Dental Assistants work side-by-side with dentists and patients during surgical procedures, implant placements, cosmetic and esthetic treatments, and a lot more. They are responsible for sterilizing and preparing instruments, processing X-rays, and making temporary crowns and bridges.

Training at Lincoln Tech for dental assisting careers takes place in simulated dental offices on campus, where students practice on patient simulator manikins called Typodonts. Graduates are prepared in areas such as safety measures, infection control techniques, X-ray exposure, and a wide range of other chairside assisting responsibilities.

For all MA schools, the Lincoln Tech program is a state-approved Dental Assistant licensure program, and upon graduation students will be prepared to sit for the Infection Control (ICE) and Radiology (RHS) exams.
