Accreditation is a form of quality control, ensuring that institutions of higher education satisfy certain standards. To ensure Laurel always meet those standards, Laurel is licensed by the Pennsylvania Department of Education, State Board of License Schools. Laurel is permitted to offer programs through the West Virginia Council for Community and Technical College Education; Laurel Technical Institute is Registered with the Ohio State Board of Career Colleges and Schools (No. 08-07-1870T (Hermitage) No. 14-07-2048T (Meadville)). Laurel is also approved to participate in NC-Sara through the PA Department of Education. We have programmatic accreditation through CoARC for our Respiratory Therapy program.

Computer Network Security Technician
Computer, Information, and TechnologyLaurel's 20-Month Associates Degree in Computer Network Security Technician trains students to install, maintain, manage and enhance computer networks. Students will learn about a variety of operating systems, including Linux, and Windows. This program also includes courses where you will learn to install, configure, maintain, and repair video surveillance, alarms, and other security equipment while conforming to all safety protocols and other relevant codes.

Culinary Arts
Culinary Arts, Food Service, and NutritionIn this 12-month immersive diploma program, students will develop a strong foundation in the art of cooking through theory, technique, and palate training. The Chef instructors will help train senses, guiding you through an incredible range of tastes and flavors, from herbs and condiments to vegetables and meats. At Laurel, you’ll also spend a semester growing and harvesting food in the on-campus garden, serving in the School Restaurant 'Gigi's Table' and working to create community events that celebrate and engage local farmers and producers. Students will also gain practical experience with these skills through on-the-job training in three separate internship rotations at some of our region's leading culinary providers.
