    Building Systems, Construction, and Manufacturing

    The Certificate in Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration program provides you with the knowledge and technical skills you need to find an entry-level position as an HVAC/R technician. In classrooms and labs, you will learn how to size and cut pipes, set controls, clean and maintain HVAC/R systems and parts, demonstrate safety practices, and use computer technology to enhance your potential for employment. In addition, you will complete assignments such as reading, exercises, problem solving, projects, research, papers, and presentations.

    Program Length: 40 weeks or 10 months

  • Welding
    Building Systems, Construction, and Manufacturing

    The Certificate in Welding program provides you with the knowledge and technical skills you need to find an entry-level position as a welder. In classrooms and labs, you will learn how to employ various welding techniques, fabricate metal structures, read blueprints, and use computer technology to enhance your potential for employment. In addition, you will complete assignments such as reading, exercises, problem solving, projects, research, papers, and presentations.

  • Dental Assisting
    Medicine and Health Care

    The growing trend in dental care is for increased use of dental assistants, allowing dentists to provide more specialized patient care. The Certificate in Dental Assisting program at Charter College can help you prepare to enter this field. Dental assistants work under the supervision of dentists performing a variety of patient care, office and laboratory duties. Responsibilities may include sterilizing and disinfecting instruments and equipment, preparing and laying out materials, taking dental x-rays and processing x-ray film.

  • Medical Assistant
    Medicine and Health Care

    The Charter College Medical Assistant program employs a combination of clinical, technical and business skills making our graduates highly employable. Hands-on training with direct patient contact in a clinic setting is provided early in the program, preparing students well for the healthcare workplace.

  • Pharmacy Technician
    Medicine and Health Care

    The Pharmacy Technician program prepares students for employment as an entry-level assistant to a licensed pharmacist. The program provides the fundamentals of pharmacy calculations, drug distribution systems, preparation of sterile dosage forms, customer service, pharmacy law and ethics, and pharmacy operations. The program includes hands-on experience to prepare students for a career as a Pharmacy Technician.

  • Veterinary Assisting

    The Certificate in Veterinary Assistant program provides you with the knowledge and technical skills you need to find an entry-level position as a Veterinary Assistant. In classrooms and labs, you will learn how to assist the veterinarian in the exam room, interact with animals and their owners, recommend preventative care, and use computer technology to enhance your potential for employment.
