Massage TherapyCosmetology and Wellness
Massage therapists bring positive well-being to clients via therapeutic and remedial treatments. They also administer other kinds of body conditioning. Carrington’s Massage Therapy program covers massage therapy principles and techniques, including Swedish massage, sports massage and deep tissue applications, and prepares students for entry-level employment as massage therapists and/or to enter private practice.
Criminal JusticeLegal, Law Enforcement, and Emergency Services
The Carrington College Criminal Justice program, with an emphasis on private security/loss prevention, prepares graduates for entry-level employment as a loss prevention officer, security guard, correctional officer and jailer or transit and railroad police.
This program is also offered online conferred from the Sacramento campus.
Medical Billing and CodingMedical Administration
Carrington’s Medical Billing and Coding program prepares students for entry-level employment preparing various health claim forms using medical billing software. They acquire a working knowledge of human anatomy and medical terminology, as well as comprehension of the legal, ethical and regulatory standards of medical records management.

Dental AssistingMedicine and Health Care
Dental assistants perform a wide range of duties in dental care facilities, from patient care to office tasks and laboratory procedures. Students become skillful at taking X-rays and impressions, as well as performing coronal polishing and assisting with an array of dental procedures. The program covers patient preparation, charting, administrative duties and office administrative functions. Students gain hands-on experience during lab class sessions and clinical experience.
Pharmacy TechnologyMedicine and Health Care
The Pharmacy Technology program provides both theory and practical training, which enables technicians, upon licensure*, to function as competent entry-level assistants to a licensed pharmacist. The program offers:
- A combination of formal classroom instruction and hands-on training
- Valuable real-world experience through a clinical externship at an approved local facility
- Preparation for the Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) national certification exam
Phlebotomy TechnicianMedicine and Health Care
Phlebotomists procure blood samples for laboratory analysis. The Carrington College Phlebotomy Technician program focuses on blood specimen collection and processing which includes body system anatomy and function, site selection, equipment and supplies, and pre analytical errors.
Veterinary AssistingMedicine and Health Care
Carrington College’s Veterinary Assisting program prepares students for the clinical, lab and administrative duties required for entry-level employment as a veterinary assistant. The program concludes in an externship that allows students to practice skills in an actual veterinary health care setting.
Physical Therapy TechnologyMedicine and Health Care
Helping patients recover from an injury or adapt to trauma or disability can be very rewarding. The Carrington College Physical Therapy Technology program combines classroom study, lab exercises and hands-on practice through our externship program.
Medical AssistingMedicine and Health Care
The Medical Assisting program at Carrington College comprises three educational areas: clinical, administrative and externship. Students enhance skills such as word-processing, typing and keyboarding. Throughout the program professionalism, client relations, critical thinking, adherence to the ethical and legal requirements of a medical practice and proper communication skills are emphasized.
Registered Nursing (RN)Nursing
Registered nurses provide critical health care including taking medical histories, recording vital signs and symptoms, performing diagnostic tests, drawing blood, giving injections and other tasks. Carrington College’s Registered Nursing program covers topics such as anatomy and physiology, microbiology, maternal child nursing, medical-surgical nursing, pharmacology and much more.
