The Electrical Technology program is offered at our York campus. During this 9-month program, students receive training in construction site safety, OSHA requirements, National Electrical Code standards and practices, proper tool use and care, interpretation of electrical blueprints/plans, job specification and pricing, installation, testing, troubleshooting and repair of electrical service panels, wiring and fixtures, installation of coaxial, telephone and data cabling, ladder logic, PLCs, customer service, math and algebra skills for the trades, and basic small business practices.

The Heating, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Technology program is a 12-month program, where students receive training in Maintenance and Service of Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Systems, Basic Electricity, Commercial Refrigeration Systems, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Troubleshooting, Basic Blueprint Reading, Heating Systems Theory, Maintenance, and Service of Heating Systems and Fundamentals of Air Filtration and Humidification.

Graduates of the program are prepared to begin careers in occupations like Cybersecurity Analyst, Information Assurance Specialist, Network Security Engineer, Security Operations Center (SOC) Analyst, Threat Intelligence Analyst.

*Candidates for this program must have either 18 academic credits in Information Technology or one year of professional experience in Information Technology

Many pastry arts professionals find themselves working in fine restaurants, hotels, specialty bakeries and country clubs. A bakery manager and baker's assistant might find additional employment opportunities with baked goods manufacturers or in grocery store bakery departments.

A Culinary Arts/Restaurant Management program is offered at The Pennsylvania School of Culinary Arts, a Division of YTI Career Institute – Lancaster. During this 21-month program, students learn how to prepare stocks, cuts of meat, poultry and seafood, assorted pastry products, world cuisines, how to utilize different cooking methods and how to work at various positions within a restaurant kitchen.

YTI offers a Dental Assisting program at our York, Lancaster, and Altoona campuses. During this 9-month program, students learn anatomy and physiology of the head and neck, take and develop manual x-rays, take digital x-rays, assist the dentist with dental procedures, manage the front of a dental office, provide patient education, mix dental materials and manage inventory and ordering of supplies.

Depending on the office size and specialty, a Medical Assistant could be handling both administrative and clinical duties. For some, front office work like, greeting patients, scheduling appointments, completing medical records and billing, can be a preferred aspect of the job. Others may choose to focus more on the hands-on aspect of patient care like recording vital signs, preparing patients for examination and basic lab procedures.
