This Certificate program prepares students for entry-level work as a practical nurse, a role that bridges physicians, registered nurses, and patients on the care team. Coursework covers patient self-care education, monitoring and reporting changes in a patient's physical and mental condition, medication administration, wound care, and preparing patients for procedures and treatments. The program builds critical thinking and decision-making skills alongside legal and ethical standards of practice, with small lecture, lab, and clinical class sizes to support hands-on learning. Programs run in both Day and Evening Cohorts, so candidates can choose whichever schedule suits their needs. Graduates must pass the NCLEX-PN exam to obtain licensure and move into entry-level practical nursing roles.
