Tyler's Beauty and Spa Academy

Cosmetology students will learn proficiency in hair, skin, makeup and nails. Foundational skills grow while learning on mannequins, classmates and volunteer models. Gradual program skills advance to working with customers under the supervision of licensed professionals.

Techniques include runway fashion, wedding styles, special hair effects, up-dos, and all facets of hair care and styling. The cosmetology school curriculum satisfies state requirements for professional licensing.

The cosmetology portion of this combo program prepares students with knowledge in all facets of cosmetology and skin care. Students acquire proficiency in hair, skin, makeup, and nails while practicing on mannequins, classmates, and volunteer models.

The Advanced Skin Care portion of this combo program includes skin care courses and professional skin care training that feature hands-on skills including microdermabrasion, advanced peels, chemical exfoliation, micro current, light therapies, lashes and more.

We offer theory classes in product ingredient knowledge, medical terminology, pre- and post-operative treatments, dermatology and dermal oncology as well as career development skills.

The Cosmetology program prepares students with knowledge in all facets of the beauty industry. Students acquire proficiency in hair, skin, makeup, and nails. The Nail Specialist portion of the program goes more in-depth than what is taught in the cosmetology program. We prepare students to become trained professionals in the growing industry of nail care. Students participate in a hands-on program of instruction in all areas of nail care, including practical application, related theory, infectious control, and customer service.

Students may exercise their artistic talents with creative projects in nail design. Students will gain expertise that will equip them to work in nail salons, hotel spas, cruise ships, and at other nail employers.

This program has been developed to meet the needs, interests and abilities of those individuals who are professionally licensed in any of the programs approved by Tyler's Beauty & Spa Academy. Upon completion of the program, graduates will be able to perform the most advanced teaching techniques within their field.
