Interdisciplinary Studies
Liberal Arts, Humanities, and LiteratureInterdisciplinary Studies (IDS) is a rigorous and unique degree program that offers students the versatility to design academic plans through the process of integrative learning. Indeed, Integrative Learning Plans (ILP) and personal academic advising are the hallmarks of the Bachelor of Interdisciplinary Studies (BIS) degree program. Working closely with their advisors, IDS students develop ILPs comprised of two- or three-discipline study plans that integrate multicultural and multidisciplinary perspectives.

Liberal Arts, Humanities, and LiteratureA student of Philosophy develops the ability to read critically, to reason well both orally and through analytical writing, and to ask relevant and interesting questions. While the development of these skills may be personally beneficial in enhancing one's self-understanding, they translate into specific skills that are vital to success in many professions.

Natural Resources, Agriculture, and BiologyBSUSP students will study all aspects of urban development and sustainability, including neighborhood revitalization, housing, transportation, local economic development, cultural preservation, environmental planning and sustainable communities.
