    Building Systems, Construction, and Manufacturing

    South Texas Vocational Technical Institute’s Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Basic Refrigeration program prepares you to pursue a successful career in commercial and residential HVAC maintenance. This program teaches you the skills to be a successful repair professional and member of the team. Our Air Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration program emphasizes hands-on learning and worksite safety.

  • CNC Machinist - Diploma
    Building Systems, Construction, and Manufacturing

    The objective of the Edge Tech Academy CNC Machinist program is to prepare the student for an entry-level position in computer numerical control manufacturing, mold making, die making, or general machinist positions. Educational emphasis is placed on the use of precision-measuring tools, industry blueprint reading, precision C.N.C. Turning, C.N.C. Milling, and precision grinding equipment. Skill development and practical applications are stressed during the entire study program.

    Graduates of the CNC Machinist program may be qualified for entry level work as a computer numerical control machinist or a general machinist, or in positions related to quality control of machined products.

    The normal duration required to complete this program is 48 credits and the maximum timeframe is 72 credits.

    Medicine and Health Care

    South Texas Vocational Technical Institute’s Medical Clinical Assistant Program helps prepare you to pursue a career in healthcare working alongside doctors, nurses and physician’s assistants. This program helps you learn the skills to be a member of medical teams. Our Medical Clinical Assistant Program emphasizes hands-on learning and patient and workplace safety. Our curriculum focuses on helping prepare students for common tasks and situations in the healthcare workplace, and our externship programs provide valuable real-world experiences.
