  • Construction Technology
    Building Systems, Construction, and Manufacturing

    The Construction Technology degree prepares students for project support positions in the construction industry. Potential career tracks include pre-construction estimating, worksite team leader, material coordinator and field inspector. The associates of science curriculum combines engineering fundamentals with topics in applied management, engineering design (CAD), accounting and communications: skills needed by team members on complex commercial and heavy/highway construction projects. Lessons touch on all aspects of construction including: materials, methods, scheduling, estimating, safety and project management.

  • Early Education & Care
    Education and Human Services

    The Early Education and Care (EEC) program is an online undergraduate degree provided by seven universities working in collaboration. This program will prepare an educator to work in early childhood settings with young children, especially those whose family members are highly mobile. When students complete the program they will be qualified to work in a variety of programs that offer early care and education in the community and on military installations.

    Understanding the connection between our daily lives and how the planet functions is central to the modern geographer’s work—SDSU’s Bachelor’s in Geography online undergraduate program sets out to answer the “why” and “how” questions of Earth’s makeup, from physical attributes to environmental impacts.

    The Geography program is designed to provide general education as well as a concentration in the major field of study, with recommended specializations and associated courses in physical geography, human geography and technical geography.

    Psychology is the discipline concerned with the study of behavior and mental processes. It is a tremendously broad field spanning subject matter from the biological to social sciences. The study of psychology prepares students for work in fields like health care, counseling, education, social work, human resources, statistics, probation and corrections, business, politics, public relations, and more. Psychologists are commonly found working in conjunction with other professionals to contribute to every area of society. Students interested in a major in psychology may pursue the major with one of two emphases, graduate school preparation and psychological services. Advisors assist students to personalize curriculum plans to meet career and educational goals.

  • Sociology
    Liberal Arts, Humanities, and Literature

    Associate: The associates of science in Sociology provides you with a foundation of general education courses in 6 core areas of study - composition, humanities, mathematics, natural sciences, social sciences and speech - along with sociology electives that total 60 credits. Students develop an understanding of current social problems related to poverty, inequality, gender, diversity, race, culture, socialization, and globalization as well as demonstrate skills in communication, knowledge in evidence-based practice, research design, and data collection.

    Bachelor: In the Bachelor of Sociology program, students engage in research and studies related to criminal justice data analytics, human and social services, marketing and sales, management, or public sector and nonprofit work. Courses equip students to develop and evaluate evidence-based arguments, adapt to changing situations and give presentations that non-sociologists can understand, leaving them well-prepared to enter the workforce upon graduation.

  • Medical Laboratory Science
    Medicine and Health Care

    The Medical Laboratory Science Upward Mobility bachelor’s degree equips you to continue pursuing your interests with an added level of expertise. The MLT to MLS courses provide a strong scientific background in Hematology, Hemostasis, Chemistry, Molecular Diagnostics, Immunohematology, Immunology and specialized testing. Clinical practice is another key component of the program. Upon graduation, you will be eligible to take the certification examination as a medical laboratory scientist from the Board of Certification by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists.

  • Agricultural & Environmental Law
    Natural Resources, Agriculture, and Biology

    Take your knowledge of the law and agricultural experience to the next level with the Agricultural & Environmental Law certificate. Focus on legal issues that arise in rural communities and the food industry. Examine legal concerns surrounding water quality, land-use and other environmental issues. Develop a working understanding of the legislative regulation of food production, renewable energy and an expanding population. The goal of the program is to provide you with a firm grasp of the laws that may impact your career and personal activities.

  • Swine Science
    Natural Resources, Agriculture, and Biology

    The Swine Science certificate academically trains you to enter the pork industry in such areas as sales and communications, construction, production management, and pharmaceuticals. The 12-credit program blends scientific principles with managerial skills, connects you with potential career opportunities and addresses the impact of modern social and industrial issues on the production of safe pork for consumption. Maybe you are working towards a degree in animal science, veterinary medicine, or another ag-related degree. Or maybe you intend to manage your family’s swine operation. Whatever your path, this program will enhance your skills with swine and increase your opportunities within the industry.

  • Nursing RN-BSN
    Nursing

    Take your career to the next level. The RN to BSN in Nursing program builds upon your current education and experience, enhances your leadership in providing holistic, integrated care to improve patient outcomes and to reduce healthcare disparities. It is a degree-completion program designed for diploma and associate RNs.
