Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning
Building & ConstructionThis Diploma program provides hands-on training for entry-level work in residential and commercial HVAC systems, aligned with national HVAC skill standards. Coursework covers residential and light commercial heating and cooling, refrigeration and freezer systems, and domestic air conditioning appliances, along with the core components such as evaporators, compressors, condensers, and expansion devices. Students also study indoor air quality standards and compliance while preparing for EPA Section 608 certification testing, required for work on refrigerant-based systems. Training combines hands-on lab work with real HVAC equipment alongside troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repair instruction. Graduates leave prepared for roles such as commercial HVAC technician or residential HVAC technician.
