PPATEC (Pennsylvania Petroleum Association Technical Education Center) is a not-for-profit trade school representing 400+ industry employers. PPATEC offers a Pennsylvania State Licensed and Veteran Affairs (VA) approved 10-week HVAC & Energy Professional training program. The 10-week entry-level program was specifically designed to provide essential classroom instruction and hands-on training to individuals wanting to enter the workforce.

PPATEC stands apart from other trade schools because of our large employer network. PPATEC is operated and funded by local Pennsylvania member companies that are looking to help support our industry and the career development of its workforce. Member companies contribute funds and equipment, help design course programs, and actively hire job candidates in PPATEC’s graduating classes.

PPATEC’s team of instructors share years of experience in the industry. Each instructor has previous experience teaching their craft, while also offering unique background information on a variety of roles and responsibilities in the field.

    Building Systems, Construction, and Manufacturing

    The 10-Week HVAC & Energy Professional Program equips students with the fundamentals and certifications they need to begin their career. The trade school is supported by 400+ companies that want to create a pathway for new individuals to enter the industry. The employer members who support the program are very interested in hiring students upon completing the 10-week training course. Depending on the market, students can expect 5+ job offers prior to graduation.

    Students will learn all the important electrical, air conditioning, heating system, and propane knowledge to begin their career in the industry. PPATEC provides direct, hands-on learning experiences that offer the industry certifications and professional skills needed to land a great job. Our member companies will then employ students and continue to invest in their career development.
