  • Dental Assistant
    Medicine and Health Care

    The goal of the Dental Assistant program is to provide graduates with the skills and knowledge that will enable them to qualify for entry-level positions as dental assistants. Since they are trained in clinical and radiographic procedures, their services are also sought by general dentists, and dental office facilities specializing in pediatrics, orthodontics, endodontics and other specialties, dental schools, dental supply manufacturers, hospital dental departments, dental laboratories and dental insurance companies.

    The objective of the Dental Assistant program is to provide the student with the appropriate didactic theory and hands-on skills required and necessary to prepare them for entry-level positions as dental assistants in today’s modern health and dental care offices, dental clinics, and facilities. Students will study diagnostic and procedural terminology as it relates to the accurate completion of dental examinations, procedures, and daily tasks.

    The combination of introduced skills taught in this program, will prepare students for the ever- changing field of dentistry and orthodontics. Students study dental radiography, dental sciences, operatory dentistry, laboratory procedures, dental anatomy and orthodontics, and dental health.

    Completion of the Dental Assistant program, including the classroom training and externship, is acknowledged by the awarding of a diploma.

    40 Weeks with externship (Morning & Evening) – FULL TIME

  • Medical Assistant
    Medicine and Health Care

    Medical Assisting is a multi-skilled allied health profession whose practitioners work primarily in ambulatory settings such as medical offices and clinics. Medical Assistants function as members of the health care delivery team and perform a variety of administrative and clinical procedures. The Medical Assistant Program will help students obtain the skills and knowledge necessary to work in medical offices or outpatient clinics. Students will receive training and instructions in administrative and clinical office procedures, medical laboratory tests and procedures, human anatomy and physiology, medical terminology, patient psychology, medical ethics, medical law and pharmacology.

    Successful completion of this program entitles graduates to sit for the Medical Assistant National Certification Exam through the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) organization.

    32 Weeks with externship (Morning, Afternoon, & Evening) – FULL TIME

  • Vocational Nursing
    Nursing

    The Vocational Nursing role represents the beginning level of the nursing practice continuum as members of the profession, provider of patient-centered care, patient safety advocate, and member of health care team. The purpose of the Vocational Nursing Program is to prepare graduate vocational nurses who are competent and self-directed, to function under the supervision of the registered nurse or physician, to and provide nursing care in structured health care setting for individual clients who are experiencing common, well-defined health problems with predictable outcomes.

    Students who successfully complete all programs objectives and meet the California Board of Vocational Nursing and Psychiatric Technicians (BVNPT) requirements will be eligible to register

    and take the National Council Licensure Examination for • 60 Weeks with clinical (Day only) – FULL TIME

    Practical Nurses (NCLEX- VN).
