MG Truck Driving School

MG Truck Driving School's Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Training program is a comprehensive, hands-on certification pathway designed to take students from eligibility to employment in as little as four to six weeks. The program combines 40 hours of classroom instruction covering ELDT training, driving regulations, pre-trip inspection, safety procedures, and related topics with 120 hours of practical, on-site training in which students develop real-world skills under the guidance of experienced instructors at a favorable 4:1 student-to-teacher ratio. Hands-on training covers pre-trip inspection, air brake testing, parallel parking, offset and straight-line backing, and on-the-road driving, with students benefiting from immediate access to an on-site fleet of trucks and a dedicated training ground that eliminates travel time and maximizes time behind the wheel. A state-of-the-art driving simulator supplements range training by exposing students to a wide range of conditions, loads, and emergency scenarios in a safe environment. Upon completing training, students are guided through the full CDL certification process, including the FMCSA knowledge and skills tests, CDL learner's permit, DMV application, and ELDT certification documentation, with MG staff supporting each step to ensure accuracy and readiness. Graduates leave with a federally recognized CDL credential, industry relationships built through the program, and a direct pathway to employment opportunities as commercial drivers.
