  • Certified Billing and Coding Specialist
    Medical Administration

    You can now attain your certified billing and coding specialist certification with the MedCerts' Certified Billing & Coding Specialist programs. This CBCS certification programs will teach you the skills needed to gather and review crucial patient information, verify patient information and documentation, audit billing, assign codes to procedures and diagnoses, submit reimbursement claims to insurers, and optimize healthcare providers’ maximum payment.

    Our Certified Billing & Coding Specialist programs provide you with all of the skills you need to become a certified billing and coding specialist (CBCS). You will learn a wide variety of skills relevant to the billing and coding portions of medical practices which can be applied at many medical institutions. Our programs will prepare you for the certified billing and coding specialist exam, and MedCerts will even cover the cost of you sitting for the certified billing and coding specialist exam.

    When you complete our program, you will be able to identify different insurance carriers and distinguish between their coverage policies. The programs will teach you the process of assigning diagnostic and procedure codes and how to submit 'clean' claims for reimbursement. This program prepares you to take on significant responsibility as a member of a dental healthcare team. Dental Assistants work in an array of locations including dental offices, hospitals, clinics, dental schools, and within professional sales environments. Dental Assistants greatly increase the efficiency of the dentist in delivery of quality, oral healthcare.

    MedCerts Dental Assistant program covers a variety of topics including: dental terminology, preventive dentistry, radiology, pharmacology, human anatomy and medical terminology, assisting in specialty practices, and much more. The RHS exam and ICE exam each have four categories and our Dental Assistant training program covers the knowledge you will need to pass these exams. The Radiation Health and Safety (RHS) exam and Infection Control Examination (ICE) exams can be taken together, prior to completing the other requirements set by the Dental Assisting National Board (DANB), for the Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) certification.

    The Certified Pharmacy Technician certification program will teach you all the skills you need to become an ASHP and ACPE certified pharmacy technician (CPhT). This course will prepare you for the pharmacy technician exam and give you the skills you need to advance your career as pharmacy technician.   • Certified Medical Assistant

    The Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) credential is issued by the National Healthcareer Association (NHA). The CCMA exam is 150 questions and you have 3 hours to complete. It will test your knowledge on a variety of topics including, but not limited to: foundational knowledge and basic science, anatomy and physiology, clinical patient care, and administrative assisting. MedCerts covers the cost of the CCMA exam.

    MedCerts' medical assistant online program covers a wide range of skills and objectives that expand beyond the primary functions of a medical assistant. The program was developed by industry experts and through technology, provides students with a one-of-a-kind learning experience. Throughout the program you will be able to interact with the curriculum through 3D virtual office scenarios, clinical skill simulations, animations, assessment gamification and activities. Students have the option to complete a 160-hour clinical externship at a local medical facility or clinic.

    Throughout your medical assistant training, you will have a team of Subject Matter Experts, Student Success Advisors and Coordinators providing support. Because this is an online program, students have 24/7 access to the curriculum. Live one-on-one mentoring is offered at your convenience Monday through Thursday from 8:30 am to 8:00 pm ET and Friday from 8:30 to 6:00 pm ET.

    You will receive one-on-one exam preparation immediately following the completion of your program. During this time you will work with one of MedCerts’ Subject Matter Experts, and once deemed ready, will be able to proceed and take the exam.
