Computer Technician Networking Specialist
Computer, Information, and TechnologyThe Computer Technician Networking Specialist training program is designed to prepare students for entry-level positions in the fields of computer, repair and networking.
All Computer Technician Networking Specialist students build their own computers to be used in the classroom throughout the computer repair and training program. The networking component of the computer repair and training program includes configuration, management, and troubleshooting of common wired and wireless network devices.
Also included in the Computer Technician Specialist training program are emerging technologies such as unified communications; mobile, cloud, and virtualization technologies; and administration of a domain through a Windows server using Active Directory. The basic security component discusses network security; compliance and operation security; and threats and vulnerabilities.
Computer Technician Networking Specialist program hours are distributed between a combination of lecture and practical hands-on labs, with an emphasis on the practical application of theory.

Medical Office Administration
Medicine and Health CareThe Medical Office Administration training program prepares Hunter Business School students with the skills and training necessary to provide excellent administrative support while working and playing a key role in running an efficient, productive office in a variety of medical and business environments. Through a blend of classroom instruction and practical hands-on training, students receive an in-depth education in computer data entry of patient information; patient files; filing systems and records; insurance claim filing; and billing and coding.
In addition to courses in management and computer applications, Hunter Business School students learn anatomy and physiology, health care administration, EMR (electronic medical records), insurance theory, and insurance claims management. Medical Office Administration training program students are also exposed to the different parts of Medicare, what to do in case of medical emergencies, and the legal aspects of health care, including HIPAA (the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996) and OSHA (the Occupational Safety and Health Act).
