Massage Therapist
Cosmetology & WellnessThe Massage Therapy training program is designed to provide students with the knowledge and hands-on skills necessary to begin a successful career as a licensed massage therapist within the healthcare community. Students are prepared to work in a variety of traditional and non-traditional medical facilities.
The program offers a well-rounded curriculum that blends knowledge of therapeutic massage with the knowledge of the structure and function of the human body. The program focuses on practical experience offered in a fully equipped clinical setting and introduces a variety of specialized modalities.
Before graduating students practice massage within the student clinic. The student clinic is where the public can schedule appointments and students help develop treatment plans and execute massage techniques.
The program also includes the business skills necessary for the student to enter the field as an independent practitioner.

Dental Assistant
Healthcare & MedicalThe Dental Assistant program is designed to provide the student with the knowledge and hands-on skills needed for a successful career as a Dental Assistant within the healthcare community. The program prepares students to work in both clinical and administrative areas of dental offices.
Gain the knowledge and hands-on practice needed to work alongside dentists in delivering care to patients. You’ll get the opportunity to prepare tray setups and work with dental instruments and materials. You’ll learn the basics of x-ray filming, oral healthcare, dental lab techniques, and other chairside assisting techniques.
Students will also obtain the skills needed to work in an administrative capacity within the dental office.
The program concludes with an externship to a local dental facility to provide real-world working experience.

Diagnostic Medical Sonography
Healthcare & MedicalThe Diagnostic Medical Sonographer program is designed to provide students with the opportunity to develop the skills and knowledge necessary to become ultrasound technicians. The program prepares the student to work as a general sonographer in a physician’s office, mobile medical unit, hospital, or outpatient medical facility.
Students learn to apply the principles of sonography to produce images of organs, tissues, and small parts of the body using a variety of ultrasound techniques. They’ll learn to identify subtle differences between healthy and pathological areas of the body and work collaboratively with physicians, ensuring images are satisfactory for diagnosis.

Medical Assistant
Healthcare & MedicalThe Medical Assistant program is designed to prepare students with the knowledge and hands-on skills necessary to build a successful career as a medical assistant or patient care assistant. Students will be well prepared to work in both the clinical and administrative areas in physician’s offices, hospitals, or personal care facilities.
Students will have the opportunity to practice clinical procedures, laboratory techniques, and administrative responsibilities in a realistic setting. Students also take medical assistant classes in terminology, office accounting practices, record keeping and other health care administration topics.
The clinical areas are equipped with exam tables, EKG machines, phlebotomy chairs, and other typical medical office equipment, allowing students to develop their skills in various patient procedures and clinical tests.
The program concludes with an externship to a local medical facility to provide hands-on working experience in the field so that students have the experience to be an asset to medical personnel right after graduating.

Surgical Technologist
Healthcare & MedicalThe Surgical Technologist program is designed to provide the student with the opportunity to develop the skills and knowledge necessary to begin a career as a surgical technologist and become a vital member of the healthcare team. The program prepares the students to work in hospitals, surgical centers, or outpatient medical facilities.
The Surgical Technologist training program will provide the student with an understanding of various surgical procedures necessary to anticipate the needs of the operating room team members. Students will learn to apply the principles of sterilization, disinfection, and aseptic and sterile techniques while using supplies and equipment to prepare for surgery. This knowledge will be demonstrated by the ability to position patients and to prepare instrumentation, equipment, and supplies appropriate for surgeries.
The program concludes with an externship to a hospital or ambulatory center to provide hands-on working experience. The curriculum exceeds the criteria set forth in the current CAAHEP Standards and guidelines for the Accreditation of Educational Programs in Surgical Technology.

Veterinary Assistant
Healthcare & MedicalThe Veterinary Assistant training program is designed to provide students with the knowledge and hands-on skills necessary to build a successful career as a veterinary assistant. Upon graduating, students will be prepared to work in veterinary hospitals, private practices, nature centers, zoos, research facilities, or veterinary clinics.
Students learn proper restraint and control of animals, collecting and recording medical histories, performing vital signs, receiving hospital patients, and assisting veterinarians with the treatment of patients. Students will also learn to prepare animals and instruments for surgery, perform inventories, assist with filling prescriptions, perform laboratory procedures, and obtain lab specimens. The student will also learn to position animals to obtain x-rays, administer medications, and apply bandages.
The program concludes with an externship to a local veterinary facility to provide hands-on working experience in the field under the supervision of veterinarians and experienced techs.
