    In the Electrical Diploma Program, students will develop technical skills and practical knowledge within the electrical trade. They will perform installation tasks, services, and repairs. Graduates from this program will apply their acquired skills in the fulfillment of positions as electrical assistants. Students are eligible for certification of completion for: OSHA 10 Safety Training Course, NCCER Core Curriculum, NCCER Electrical Level 1, 2, and 3.

    A total of 720 contact hours is required and divided into 200 lecture hour and 520 lab hours. Employment opportunities include Electrician’s Helper/apprentice (residential. Commercial, and industrial electrical systems), and Maintenance and Repair Workers.

  • Welding - Diploma
    Building Systems, Construction, and Manufacturing

    In the Welding Diploma Program, students will develop technical skills and practical experiences related to cutting metal. In addition, they will interpret manufacturing and construction drawings and measurements used in the field. Students will also apply gained knowledge of SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding), GMAW (Gas Metal Arc Welding), FCAW (Flux Core Arc Welding), and GTAW (Gas Tungsten Arc Welding) processes, as well as pipe welding techniques related to these four welding processes. Students are eligible for certification of completion and membership for: OSHA 10 Safety Training Course, National Center for Construction Education & Research (NCCER) Core Curriculum, (NCCER) Welding Level 1, 2, and 3, and American Welding Society (AWS) Membership.

    A total of 960 contact hours is required and divided into 260 lecture hours and 700 lab hours. Employment opportunities include Aluminum Welder, Maintenance Welder, and Mig Welder.

    The HVAC/R with PLC Diploma Program offers students the technical and practical knowledge and skills to perform heating, refrigeration, and air conditioning maintenance, assist with installations, and repairs. Students will also learn basic skills related to the programmable logic controllers (PLCs). Graduates from this program will be able to fill positions at construction firms, as well as residential and commercial refrigeration and air conditioning companies.

    Students are eligible to take the following certification tests: EPA 608 Universal and OSHA 10 Safety. A total of 960 contact hours is required and divided into 520 lecture hours and 440 lab hours. Employment opportunities include HVAC Mechanic, A/C Tech, HVAC Installer Assistant, HVAC Service Technician, Systems Maintenance Mechanic.

Graduates from this program will be able to fill positions as an electrician helper for services and construction firms in residential, commercial and industrial businesses associated with the electrical trade industry.     The Heating, The Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration (HVAC/R) Diploma Program prepares students with the knowledge and necessary skills to develop efficient and safety-minded technicians that will be able to fill an entry level position in the heating, ventilation, and air conditioning field. In addition, they will acquire the necessary skills, to perform installation tasks, service and repairs in heating, refrigeration, and air conditioning equipment. This program is designed to prepare graduates to take the certifications from the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).

    Students are eligible to take the following certification tests: EPA 608 Universal and OSHA 10 Safety. A total of 920 contact hours is required and divided into 500 lecture hours and 420 lab hours. Employment opportunities include HVAC Repair Specialist, HVAC Assistant Installer, and HVAC Technician Apprentice.

  • IT with Emphasis in Cybersecurity - Bachelor's Degree

    The Bachelor Degree program in Information Technology with emphasis in Cybersecurity introduces students to a variety of topics, such as assessing the security vulnerability of computer and network systems, various computer and network safeguarding solutions, and managing the implementation and maintenance of security devices, systems, procedures and counter measures. As a graduate of the program, students will be prepared for an entry-level career as an information support analyst, junior ethical hacker, or network and security support analyst related jobs.

    The duration of the program is 36 months and 183 quarter credits is required. The credits are divided into 10.5 credits for core courses, 112.5 credits for concentration courses, 54 credits for general education courses and 4.5 credits for elective course.

    The Computer Support Technician Diploma program prepares students to demonstrate proficiency in providing technical support and assisting users in troubleshooting, performing technical and system diagnostics, and making the necessary repairs. Students will examine computer concepts, information systems, networking, operating systems, computer hardware, software applications and the Internet. They will analyze the principles of customer service and the importance of problem solving and help desk supportive service. Students will develop the skills necessary to obtain an entry-level position in the field and prepare them to challenge the CompTIA A+ certification.

  • Medical Assistant Technician - Diploma

    The Medical Assistant Technician Diploma Program is designed to prepare students to obtain entry-level employment as a medical assistant technician. This program offers students the opportunity to learn the necessary knowledge and skills both in the classroom and in a supervised clinical practice or capstone. The students learn how to prepare patients for various technical examinations such as EKGs and phlebotomy, as well as how to perform several such procedures.   • Allied Health Management - Bachelor's Degree
    Medicine and Health Care

    The Bachelor’s Degree program in Allied Health Management is comprised of a combination of courses, which provide skills in such areas as managing the administrative area within a health services organization, current procedural coding with information technology, and basic clinical and lab procedures. The program is designed to prepare a student for a career as an administrator in the health services field.

    When graduates from this program have work experience in the medical field, upon completion of this program they can apply for healthcare management. The duration of the program is 27 months and a total of 184 quarter credits. Depending on graduates concentration track, they will quality to sit for one of the following exams through the American Academy of Professional Coders™ (AAPC), Certified Professional Coder (CPC) exam, Certified Physician Practice Manager (CPPM®) exam or Licensure of Basic Machine Operator through the Dept of Health State of Florida.

    Admission Requirements

    A student must first successfully graduate from an Allied Health (Medical Assistant Technician, Billing and Coding, or other) diploma or degree program, from either NUC-FTC or another accredited institution, as a prerequisite for enrolling into the Allied Health Management Bachelor program. External transcripts must be evaluated by Academic Affairs to determine transfer of credits accepted into the program.
