DuVall’s School of Cosmetology provides students with a combination of classroom and hands-on training that fosters both of these goals.
We are a family-owned school dedicated to quality education and a vision for improvement of the cosmetology, esthetics, and instructor industry. Throughout the school curriculum and culture are woven the tools and knowledge that the three owners found helpful as they developed their individual careers. Continuous learning and adapting to the change in trends spanning four decades motivated these businesswomen to invest their energies into providing an institution for others to learn, be inspired, and prepare for a profession in the beauty industry.
You will progress through the 3 stages of the programs: Discovery, Skills, and Creative, in preparation to be salon or spa ready. Discovery students explore the underlying theory and the techniques for performing basic client services. Skills students develop and customize their skills to meet the needs of clients. In the final stage, Creative, students focus on developing the creative skills necessary for success in the work place. Throughout all three stages, students prep for state board testing and also compile a portfolio designed to appeal to future employers as well as clients.

Esthetics

If you are passionate about skincare, enjoy working with your hands and interacting with people, then a career as a Licensed Esthetician would be perfect for you! You can be on your way to a rewarding career within the beauty industry where you can put your talents to use.
When you enroll in the Advanced Esthetics Program at DuVall’s you will receive practical training and technical instruction covering aspects of Esthetics including Skin Analysis, Facials, Hair Removal, Microdermabrasion, Chemical Peels, Exfoliation, Make-Up, Salon Management and State Board Training. You will learn the art and science of Esthetics from experienced, passionate educators.

Instructor
Cosmetology and WellnessLearn to professionally instruct others in the fields of cosmetology or esthetics at DuVall’s. Under the guidance of our highly qualified instructors, you will practice developing lesson plans, activities, and lesson presentation to students in both actual and simulated classrooms. Gaining experience communicating to students to implement the knowledge by performing services is provided by interacting in the student spa or salon training area. Whether you find teaching in a school rewarding, or choose to use your training as an educator to further your beauty industry career, this 750 hour program will challenge you to analyze and communicate the skills you have mastered in a building block format.
