Clement Truck Driving Academy

Clement Truck Driving Academy's Class A CDL program is the school's most popular offering, designed to take students from complete beginner to licensed commercial driver in just four weeks. The program totals 160 clock hours and is priced at $5,000, with additional costs for a drug screen, physical exam, housing, and ELDT supplies available on campus.

Training is structured week by week to build skills progressively. The first week covers orientation, enrollment paperwork, a drug screening and physical, and foundational theory alongside hands-on vehicle orientation and pre-trip inspections. Week two dives into backing maneuvers and deeper pre-trip inspection practice, two of the most critical skills for professional drivers. By week three, students are out on the road, starting in an automatic transmission truck before advancing to manual transmission training, which includes double-clutching, RPM matching, and proper shifting technique. The final week is dedicated entirely to review and preparation for the state-administered CDL test, which includes a vehicle inspection, a skills/backing test, and an on-road driving exam.
