      Program Description

      The ASB program is designed to enhance the student’s career opportunities and improve opportunities for advancement by providing a diverse and well-rounded curriculum of general education, business and management studies. Through our qualified business training degree program, students will gain a greater understanding of management and supervision techniques, which will help enable them to more readily attain entry-level management positions in today’s competitive business environment.

      Program Description

      • Dental assistants are an integral part of the dental team, playing a vital role in any dental practice. In addition to having complete knowledge of administration, the dental assistant duties include clinical chair-side and radiographic support.

      • Training at Brookline College is designed to prepare you to help patients with their smiles and educate them on ways to improve their oral care.

      • Our Dental Assistant program offers facilities and dental labs that contain materials and equipment that you will be using on the job.

      • Once you have completed the program requirements, you will enter your externship, which will give you supplementary, on the job, training to enhance your classroom experience.

      • Graduates are eligible to take the Dental Assisting National Board, Certification Exams for the designation CDA (Certified Dental Assistant), the Arizona State Certification in Radiation Health and Safety, and the Arizona Coronal Polishing Certificate (AZCP).

    • Pharmacy Technician +

      Program Description

      Pharmacy technicians help patients by preparing the medication they need to feel better. You will have the opportunity to impact people’s lives every day by preparing, counting and labeling their prescriptions, managing insurance billing and options for reimbursement, and assist in meeting their needs in a hospital setting.
      Our dedicated Pharmacy Technician labs contain equipment such as: laminar flow hoods, counting trays, ointment slabs, prescription balances, mortars and pestles, and various other learning aids. We also have interactive software to enhance the learning experience.
      Additionally, our program includes an externship where you will have the opportunity to act as a pharmacy technician first hand, working closely with patients, pharmacy technicians and other healthcare personnel. Brookline College partners with local pharmacies, hospitals and Fry’s Food Stores Pharmacy(1) and Walgreens Pharmacies to provide you with hands-on work experience.

      When you want to advance your education, you can seamlessly transfer your Diploma credits to earn an Associate’s Degree in Allied Health.

    • Phlebotomy Technician / Phlebotomist +

      Program Description

      Phlebotomy is the practice of drawing blood from patients and taking the blood specimens to the laboratory to prepare for testing.

      Training at Brookline College is designed to prepare you to obtain blood specimens from patients for testing and analyzing.
      During your courses, you will be taught how to draw blood. You will have the opportunity to practice your skills in the classroom on faculty, staff and fellow students so you are prepared and confident before you begin your externship.
      Upon satisfactory completion of the program, students are qualified for entry-level positions and to take the National American Medical Technologist (AMT) exam to become a Registered Phlebotomy Technician (RPT).

      Program Description

      Learn how to draw blood, remove sutures and staples, manage wound care, administer ECGs, properly move and transport patients and gain emergency room skills (splints, immobilizations, nasogastric tube removal).
      Hands-on learning during lab classes lets you practice your skills so you’ll be ready for your career when you graduate.
      Be prepared for the National Certified Patient Care Technician (NCPCT) exam through the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT).
      Additional training is available for no additional cost to prepare to be a Nursing Assistant.(1) The program meets all requirements for nursing assistant programs as identified by the Arizona State Board of Nursing. Graduates who successfully complete the Nursing Assistant program are eligible to take the Arizona State Board of Nursing certification examination for nursing assistants.
      Credits earned from your Patient Care Technician (PCT) program can be transferred into other degree programs offered at Brookline College.
